Las Vegas Justice Court Warrants

A warrant is an official legal document issued by a government entity such as the Las Vegas Justice Court, that allows law enforcement to make an arrest.  Warrants are usually issued by not complying with the court such as paying a ticket or not going to a required court date.  Arrests for warrants are very unpleasant since the process of booking into the jail, paying for bail and being processed out of jail could take up to 72 hours or more.

How to resolve Criminal Warrants

Criminal warrants can only be resolved through either an attorney or in person at the court.

Through an Attorney

Contact an Attorney to handle the warrant.  If you are represented by a private attorney contact them to take care of the warrant.  If you are represented by the Clark County Public Defenders Office call 702-455-4685 for assistance.  If you are represented by an attorney only the attorney can submit a Motion to the court to quash a warrant.

In person at the Court

If you are not represented by an attorney a new court date through a Motion to Place on the calendar can be scheduled in person.  Just go to the Las Vegas Justice Court Clerks Office on the second floor, during Monday – Friday 8 am – 3 pm business hours, show your ID and fill out the Motion for a new court date.  You will receive a new court date in a few days.  Your warrant will be in effect until you go to your new court date and the judge recalls the warrant.

How to resolve Civil Warrants

Civil warrants can be resolved by contacting the Attorney or Plaintiff responsible for the original lawsuit and make payment arrangements.
